This is a terrific Beceite Ibex shoulder taxidermy mount. It is posed with the head in a semi-upright position looking slightly to it's right side out into the room. It has great hair quality and incredibly tall, curling horns, exceeding the level required for a SCI Bronze Medal with a score of 72 4/8'. The taxidermy work is equally impressive, with quality craftsmanship, combining to earn our Excellent Plus overall quality rating.

- The item will hang on a properly anchored drywall screw. About the Beceite Ibex (Capra pyrenaica victoriae)
The Beceite (aka Eastern Spanish) Ibex gets its namesake from its native range, the Beceite Mountains in East-Central Spain. The Beceite ibex has the darkest coloration, the largest size and the largest sized horns of the Spanish Ibex. It has also been introduced into other parts of the world, including temperate ranches in the United States, increasing the total population and diversity of habitat. The Beceite has a beautiful marble coat, typically cream and brown in color, and is easily distinguished by it's massive back-curling horns, which can grow several feet in length. These outstanding horns rise upwards from a thick base, curl outward in the middle and curl back toward the center at the narrower tips.
